Benefits of Solutions-Focused Coaching?

A research programme, backed by the Australian Human Resources Institute, which covered seventeen Human Resourcesprofessionals responsible for over 1000 Executive Coaching programmes over a two-year period and with a value of over 15.4 million dollars, concluded that:

Coaching is an effective intervention for the development of executives and above all helps them to understand their personal styles and response types/models and the problems resulting from them

The benefits to the organisation come chiefly from developing a “talent pool” and assuring gains in terms of retaining personnel and raising morale.

Executive coaching programmes are complex and difficult to implement owing to the broad spectrum of factors which can have a decisive influence on the results and success of the programme.

The most relevant factors in ensuring a successful programme depend on the quality of the coachees tasking part, the kind of support given by the organisational structure, the quality of the professional relationship between the coach and the coachee, the reporting and the criteria for measuring the results.
